Here’s the latest book in the popular Trailblazers series.
This one looks at the life and work of the pioneer missionary William Carey. Brought up in a working class family, William was an intelligent child, but his parents couldn’t afford for him to get a university education. Instead he was apprenticed to a shoemaker.
However, in adult life he became a preacher and pastor, and went to India to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. There he translated the Bible into a number of Indian languages. His famous saying was, “Expect great things from God, and attempt great things for God.”
A wonderful life of faith and Christian service.
