Two young fathers report for military duty – one a man of great faith, and the other a doubtful cynic.
A quarter of a century later, their sons meet as strangers.
Guided by hand-written letters from their fathers on the battlefield, they set out to discover the circumstances of their fathers’ deaths, and in the process they re-evaluate their understanding of God’s hand in their lives, just as their fathers had done before them.
